The fifty (50) game mark is just around the corner in the VHL, approximately 2-3 weeks away for the majority of the teams. The fifty (50) game mark symbolizes a turning point in the season, as for the case of this year, 203 players whom either re-signed with their respective clubs last season, and additionally those signed during the 2021 free agent auction no longer have their automatic 50 game no trade clauses. This is generally when activity picks up until the trade deadline, which is approximately two months away in mid-April! The most concrete rumour we have, is that Frank Vatrano of the Florida Panthers is expected to be the first domino to fall after the Game 50 mark!
